We're Paya — a chat-native money protocol in development. This page explains what we do with the email you share when you join the waitlist.
What we collect
When you submit your email on paya.money, we store:
- Your email address
- The time you signed up
- A referral code, if you arrived through a shared link
- Your position in the waitlist and any referral activity tied to your account
That's it. We don't track your IP for marketing, set login cookies, or fingerprint your device. We don't ask for your name, location, payment information, or anything else at this stage.
What we do with it
- Notify you when early access opens
- Send a small number of meaningful product updates (roughly once a month or less)
- Track your spot in line and update you when you advance through referrals
- Look at aggregate signup trends to improve how the waitlist works
Where it lives
Your email is stored in our Supabase database, held under our control. Confirmation and update emails are delivered through Resend, which retains delivery logs for 30 days for deliverability monitoring.
Analytics
We use Plausible Analytics to see anonymous visitor counts. Plausible doesn't use cookies, doesn't track you across sites, and doesn't collect personal data.
Who we share it with
No one. We don't sell, rent, license, or share your email with third parties. We don't use it for advertising, ad networks, or training AI models. The only services that touch your data are the ones above (Supabase, Resend, Plausible) and only to the extent needed to run the waitlist.
Your rights
Whether you're in the EU, UK, California, or anywhere else, you can:
- Ask what data we hold on you (just your email, signup time, position, referral activity)
- Ask us to delete it (we will, completely, within 30 days)
- Take a copy elsewhere
Email privacy@paya.money and we'll handle it.
Cookies
We don't set tracking cookies. If we ever do, we'll add a banner and update this page first.
Changes
If we update this policy, we'll change the date at the top. For material changes, we'll email everyone on the waitlist before they take effect.
